Privacy policy

Codena Studios is a trading name of Paytrade Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 17164786). We design and build websites and apps. For anything about your data, email hello@codena.co.uk. We are the data controller for the information described below.

When you use the contact form, we collect your name, email address, and whatever you write about your project. That’s it — no accounts, no hidden fields.

When you browse the site, we collect anonymous, aggregate usage statistics (pages viewed, rough country, referring site) through Cloudflare Web Analytics. This is privacy-first and cookieless: it does not use cookies, does not track you across other sites, and cannot identify you.

We use your contact details for one purpose: to read your enquiry and reply to it. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in responding to people who get in touch about working with us. We do not use your details for marketing, and we never sell them.

We use the anonymous analytics to understand what’s useful on the site and improve it.

We keep your data to ourselves, with a few trusted providers that help us run the site:

• Resend — delivers your enquiry to our inbox.
• Cloudflare — provides the cookieless, aggregate analytics.
• Netlify — hosts the site.

Each processes data only on our instructions. We don’t share your information with anyone else unless the law requires it.

We don’t use tracking or advertising cookies. Our analytics is cookieless, which is why you won’t see a cookie banner here.

We keep enquiry emails for up to 24 months from our last contact with you, then delete them. If you’d like yours removed sooner, just ask.

Under UK data protection law you can ask us to show you the data we hold about you, correct it, delete it, or stop using it. To do any of these, email hello@codena.co.uk and we’ll sort it, usually within a few days.

If you think we’ve handled your data badly, please tell us first so we can put it right. You also have the right to complain to the UK’s Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
